Created as a film school graduation project, Yi Zhao’s “On The Water” has been making the festival rounds and already has racked up some impressive accolades. In this serene and gorgeously animated film, the sea is a metaphor for the cycle of life. Which begs the question — does life come with a life jacket?
The Shooting Gallery in San Francisco just closed Grand Illusion, work by Anthony Michael Sneed Saturday, July 9th through July 30th. In addition to paintings and handmade wooden object installations, Sneed released a print with a portion of the proceeds donated to the San Francisco LGBT Community Center. Daniel Rolnik interviews Sneed covering his process, his musical past and how he was once part of a Christian cult. Featured here in this interview is some recent work and previous works.
